When you live in Denmark you will need to get a Danish bank account. However you must be aware that you cannot get a bank account before you have received a CPR number.
So if you know before comming to Denmark that you will need a certain amount of cash the first weeks then you have to bring cash or make sure you can withdraw from a credit card eg. Master card or Visa - but please note that there is a limit of max 2,000 Danish Kroner (DKK) per week - this amount can vary so check with your bank before going to Denmark.
We estimate that you will need at least 15,000 - 20,000 DKK for the period until you are able to transfer money from your home country to your Danish bank account (you need cash to pay rent, deposit, things to get settled in your appartment etc.).
