Entry Requirements & how to apply - EU students

Entry Requirements

One of the following gives you access to the AP degree in Entrepreneurship and Design Management (E-design):

  • A high school diploma (in Denmark: stx, hhx, stx or HF/eux), with mathematics at level C and English at grade C.
  • Vocational qualification in interior design, digital media or media graphic design (level 2)

Entrance assignment

There is an entrance assignment to this program.

Your answers must be sent by email to the school no later than 30 June 2012. You are very welcome to submit your response earlier.

The entrance assignment can be found under downloads - here to the right.

How to apply

All EU and non-EU applicants must apply no later than 15 March at 12.00 noon. Later applications will only be accepted if we have available places.
If you want IBA to help you find accommodation, you have to apply before 1 June. Otherwise, the latest deadline is 5th July.

All international applicants must apply digitally at www.optagelse.dk/admission.
If you do not have a Danish CPR (civil registration number), you will be asked to give your personal e-mail address in order to get your application profile registered in the system.

Once you have entered your e-mail address, a direct link to your login page will be sent to your inbox. Do check your spam box if you do not receive the e-mail.

With this login you will be able to start the application process. The system will automatically create a temporary CPR for you. Your e-mail address and this temporary CPR will be used to identify you throughout the whole application process both within the application system and International Business Academy. Therefore, do not change your e-mail address during the application process.

You must submit the application form and upload all enclosures on www.optagelse.dk/admission before 15 March at 12.00 noon. Some enclosures, however, for instance the English test or the upper secondary diploma, may be uploaded later. The very latest deadline for uploading enclosures is 5 July at 12.00 noon when the application system closes. If you receive your upper secondary diploma after this date, please contact us at apply@iba.dk for further information.

Signature page (VERY IMPORTANT!)

When you have submitted your digital application(s), you must use the special print icon to print a signature page which contains a unique code.

You must sign and send this signature page to all the programmes you apply for. Only if you do so, we will be able to see, download and consider your application.

Signature pages to International Business Academy must be sent to apply@iba.dk or International Business Academy, Attn.: International Office, Skamlingvejen 32, 6000 Kolding, Denmark. Consider sending it as a recommended letter.

If you apply via a recruiting agency, please write the name of this agency on your signature page.

International applicants with a Danish CPR number

If you already have a Danish CPR number, you must use this to log on to the application system instead of your e-mail address. You will then not receive the signature page and do not have to do anything after having submitted your application and enclosures.

Application checklist:

Please upload the following documents with your application:
  • Your upper secondary diploma and other educational diplomas, if any (e.g. a Bachelor’s Diploma). If you haven’t graduated yet, please upload a transcript of records.
  • English test results
  • Motivation letter
  • References (if any)
  • Documentation of working experience and/or stays abroad (if any)
  • Copy of passport
  • Entrance assignment  (E-Design)

Please upload the enclosures with your application or as soon as possible after. The sooner we receive your full application, the sooner we can start considering your application. The application system will automatically inform us of any new uploads so you do not need to contact us about this.
