IBA students for their final assessment write a Research dissertation that can provide new perspectives on both existing and future challenges facing a company or other organisation.
The IBA is happy to help develop a project proposal that addresses the needs of the company while at the same time enabling the student to complete their dissertation.
For the dissertation, students use knowledge and skills gained from their classroom activities - including theories and models from across several subject areas - resulting in practical recommendations and solutions to the issue(s) identified in the project proposal. Some primary research comprising for example questionnaire, focus group or interviews, is a crucial part of the dissertation as well as a full financial analysis containing a budget, cost/benefit calculations and so on.
The research can be carried out in combination with, and as part of, a practical work placement/internship in the company or organisation.
