The IBA includes work placements (internships) of 3-4 months duration as part of the full-time Marketing Management (Marketing and Economics), Financial Management and Bachelor in Int. Sales and Marketing programme, offering considerable benefits to students and host companies.
IBA students normally receive a grant from the Danish Government so in many cases the placement/internship is unpaid – the host company is asked only to pay the student’s daily travel costs to and from work. Although local advice and assistance from the host company is always welcomed, it is the student’s responsibility to deal with finding and paying for their accommodation while on placement.
Almost any kind of organisation – large, small, private, public, voluntary - can be an IBA host company provided it offers students work that is relevant to a business degree programme.
The placement can comprise regular work within the organisation, a specific project, or a combination of the two.
Students on placement are regularly monitored and supported by the IBA.
Since it started in 1991, the IBA work experience programme has been very popular with companies throughout the world
